Dixon, (who’s real name is Matt but because the other Matt has a copyright on the name, he is no longer allowed to use his name in public) has been playing drums since the young age of 9 - ever since he started, it has become an integral part of his life, and more enjoyable than ever.

He loves playing a wide variety of styles, including Funk, Pop, Rock, Progressive and Jazz, to name a few.

He has gigged and played sessions for numerous bands and musicians of all different genres around the UK.

Dixon understands the importance of teaching to suit all learning styles, and loves to teach people of all ages, whatever their motive. He will help students develop their technique and musicality, build confidence and push their ability behind the kit.

He helps minimise the challenges that can crop up when learning an instrument and aims to put students at ease with a relaxed, yet productive, approach to lessons, keeping things fun, as it should be!
