About Matt

Matt has been playing drums for over 10 years - ever since he started, it has become a huge part of his life. WMF’s other Matt showed him the ropes all those years ago, helping to develop his playing, right from the start.

He enjoys playing a wide variety of styles, including Funk, Prog, Pop, Rock, Jazz - you name the rest! He has gigged and played sessions for multiple bands and musicians of all different genres.

Matt understands the importance of teaching to suit all learning styles, and loves to teach people of all ages, whatever their motive. He will help students develop their technique, and ultimately build their confidence to push their ability behind the kit.

He knows the struggles and frustrations that can crop up when learning an instrument. He aims to put students at ease with a relaxed and patient approach to lessons, keeping things fun, because that’s what matters!
